Avalon district comprises the majority of the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador.  It is located between the ridings of Bonavista-Burin-Trinity and St. John’s East and St. John’s South-Mount Pearl.  As of 2016 it has a population of 86,494 and covers an area of 6458 sqaure kilometers.
